Daron's life
part I
Daron is possibly one of the oldest vampires in existence, born at the dawn of human civilization. His father, wise and contemplative spirit-walker and shepherd Saulot, was embraced by Enoch while Daron was merely a suckling baby; as a token of mercy, Enoch summoned Saulot's family and their followers, otherwise condemned to perish in the wild without his guide and protector, in City of Enoch. There Daron grew in a man wise and thoughtful but strong and decisive at the same time, learning what he could (and wanted) from the immortal lords of the City, Enoch and their brethren, and Cain, their sire. He was altogether loyal and respecful toward them, and loved his father Saulot with son's love, but seeing the fight his father fought nightly for his soul, he was determined to remain human. The one single vampire he would allow to embrace him was Saulot, to help him by accompaniing him in that despreate struggle, and once he indeed brought that offer before the father, but Saulot refused that. -If you should ever take that shadowy path your father walks now, your family and clan would lose its head. It was the mistake for me to accept this dark gift; I could be of more good for all of us united with our ancestors, instead of being cut off from my tribe and loved ones in such a terrible way as I am now. You must understand that the vampires are essentially beasts and everybody else is their tool and prey. To my nature, you and your sisters and your mother are now a meal, not a kin, even as I recognize you as such. And to put such a curse upon my only son... No, one is enough. It falls to you now to guide your people and preserve your blood, in every sense of it.-
And so Daron continued to guide his people through the City's affairs, more and more darker as time passed on. For, Caine's childer embraced ever more and more City's the most worthy individuals into their ranks; but not a single Saulid joined the dark elite of the City due to his former leader's order and his son's strict rule over the clan.

40 years after Saulot has arrived in the City of Enoch, it became a place of darkness and despair. Despite the Cain's veto on multiplying, vampires continued to create childer in secret and were numerous. They also ruled humans of the City like a ruthless king rules his subjects, and inner struggle for supremacy was constant.
