Character description
It was the dawn of the third day of a very bloody battle. I had woken up half dead the day before in a cold sweat. My room was dark except for a sliver of sunlight shining from the crack in my drapery. I got up to walk to close them and I fell back down. I looked around and my bed was completely covered in still warm blood. I checked myself for wounds and found but one. It was on my shoulder and it was still bleeding.
The blood had come from me yet, I was still alive after all of the blood loss. I wondered to myself how it could be possible. And, after a few moments, I got up again. I walked over to the window and closed it. Now, even though my room was completely dark, I could still see.
I laid back down to soak in what was going on. I realized what had happened to me. I had become what I was hunting. Now, after a long life of hiding and bloodshed, I come out for the truth. Always looking for who did it to me. So I can thank them.
They opened my eyes to the darkness.
