If i happened to attack you, it can be one of these reasons:
I was bored and decided to do a random search.
I was experience hunting.
Our clans are currently at war with each other.
You have done something to offend a friend or a member of my clan, and in turn he/she called avenger(s) on you and you alone.
You gave a good amount of gold and ended up on our treasury list... (and you may be attacked by random [BBN]Pinoy Lycan Hunter members almost constantly after that ^^o)
I needed a safety fight, and luckily, I chose you. So thank you. ^^
Most importantly, fighting is the main point of the game. So whether I won or lost against you, whatever happens after that will still be part of the game. (uhh, except maybe trash talking. But it won't come from me ^__^)

If by any chance I lose to you and I accidentally donated a good amount of my gold, don't worry. Think of it as a loan ^_^ In the next few days either I or a very good friend will come to take it back from you. =)
