Night was never safe for the humans. Wandering the forests during the day was risky, but at night they were only ever safe in their own homes. Vampire and werewolf raids claimed many lives. Humans would hole up in their houses and pray for daylight. For many, it never came.
The human offspring were always considered safe, until a recent set of events began to unfold. Infants were being stolen away, right from their cradles in the dead of night. It is rarely observed for a wolf to make it into a house, let alone to steal away a child. The old werewolf stereotypes held true to some, and at least one let into her guilty pleasures with the moon watching over her. The humans began to call this fast handed she-wolf, ‘Wolfpaws’.
