Therian Nightreaver is not your typical vampire. He actively sought out his Sire to be embraced. If he looks bookish, and more like an academician than a stalker it is because he is just that. Therian, formerly known as Professor Therian Night, was a primitive cultures professor at Miskatonic University. He preferred field research and had travelled to literally hundreds of Eskimo villages, Pacific Rim islands, and African jungle tribes, learning a dozen languages and another thirty dialects before he came upon a clay tablet inscribed with a cunieform that had no record. After considerable research and the expenditure of the majority of his personal wealth, he finally stumbled upon a document from a deceased psychologist who was on retainer with the Wilcox family of Providence, Rhode Island. A series of symbols with the phonetic description "Cthulhu fhtagn" matched part of what his tablet pronounced. Therian was last known to have travelled to travelled to Aukland in search of a survivor of the schooner Emma who had been reported to have found a previously unmapped island, where his crew met their demise. After a considerable absence (nearly 80 years) Therian returned. Oddly his name had been changed, but his apparent age had not...
