Always withdrawn and antisocial, she didn't have actually any friends, except for her foster parents. She used to be a bright and charming girl, but after everything that happened on her past, her world became monochromatic, her soul became jagged and she was consumed by overwhelming depression. She was lost in her own internal void and rarely utters a word to anyone.
Amielle is an apathetic, genius girl with a mild psycho problem. (They say that there is only a thin line between being a genius and a psychopath, and she seems to be going back and forth between that line.) No one can see any emotion on her haunting amethyst eyes, and she doesn't even give a damn if someone was brutally murdered in front of her. Events don't usually invoke any feelings to her, but when she gets angry…all hell breaks loose as she unleashes her psychotic side, her amethyst eyes glowing fiercely brightly, and with a sinister smirk, a morbid carnage happens to those who defied her.
She hates humans. She loathes these pathetic excuse of beings that God should've have wasted His time creating. Therefore, she doesn't consider herself to be a 'human being' anymore, but rather, 'a creature of the dark'.
Amielle is a fearless warrior. She can strike down people with one hit. And she's cynical about things in the 'human' life. But she believes in destiny, fate, miracles, the power of the gods, heaven, hell and purgatory. Though she lost her faith in the humans, she still has a strong attachment to her beliefs.

When her mother got sick because of her 'grandparents', it turned her into a frenzied state, plus add the fact of her traumatic childhood, her heart was filled with utter rage and disgust for humans. She trapped herself within her own room for a year, never leaving the shadows, never blinking, just observing the world through her window. She sleeps in the morning, and stays awake in the night, thinking deeper and deeper as each day passed by, trapped in her own world.
The only time that she finally broke free from that entrapment was when her mother fell into a coma. Then as she was hurriedly making her way to the hospital one night, she found out that she can run faster in the dark, and even had the ability to pass through a large wall in front of her.
She doesn't know where her powers came from, but she actually got it from her father. He used to be a prince of a cannibalistic cult from Africa, and when Amielle was still two, he made her swallow Hugryunto, the 'shadow amulet', a small black stone that according to rumors contains the secret in controlling the shadows.

Her real parents didn't as much care about her. Her father, Amar Yeshua, was always dead drunk, stoned, and beats the hell out of her, her Mother, Jessica, her little brother, Jon, and even raped her older sister, Cindy.
But then, one fateful day, while she was at school, her mother felt that she had enough of the torture. Her mind snapped, she went completely crazy and shot her father with a gun at point blank. Then she killed off her two children and committed suicide in the end.
Amielle came home to find policemen swarming around their house. She asked them what happened, but they didn't pay any attention to the six-year old girl. Then she saw the blood splattered on the wall along with her family's lifeless bodies. She cried out in pain, but there was no one who consoled her. She wept bitterly on the dirty side of the street.
A year later, Amielle was found in a local orphanage. Erika and Lily Celestino, a middle-age lesbian couple, adopted her and raised her as their own. For the first time in her life, she felt loved. She had a mother and a 'father' who cared about her. She was happy.
But life is not always full of smiles. When she was 10, Erika's parents, had found them and ruined their simple 'family' life. They separated the lovers and took Erika to another country. They even said harsh words to Lily.
Amielle and her mother didn't hear any word about the whereabouts of her 'father' until a few months after, they received a sad letter from Erika's relatives, saying that Erika had committed suicide. This crushed Lily's heart and it lead to her heart ailment. Meanwhile, Amielle, experiencing her family fall apart, AGAIN, was depressed beyond relief. She closed herself off from outward contact. It was like she built a protective shell around her. And seeing her mother in a weak state drove her further into insanity.

The man pleaded for her to end his life. But Amielle could no longer feel pity. She was merciless. Plus she was a mercenary, she doesn't accept favors from old, dying men. It was a 'no money, no deal' policy. Money makes the world go round for her.
Zanders, as what he introduced himself, offered her his wealth. He was a rich business man -- a vampire trying to fool himself that he was still human. After a few moments of negotiation, Amielle agreed to his conditions.
That from thereon, she was to become Rai Zanders, the solo heir and long lost daughter of Malchor Zanders.
And the man agreed too on her condition.
That from thereon, she was to become, a real nightstalker.
