Lurking is what I do best. At one point, in shadows, in back alleys, under stairs – now? ha, not bloody likely. Sure, I’ve skulked in my fair share of shadowy alleys, but these days, the world teetering on the cusp of total civilization, I prefer masses. Cities, the bigger the better, sprawling metropolises and urban sprawl. City lights, always burning bright, warding off the night, blah blah something something.

Hey, if I was a poet, I’m sure I’d be better at rhyming, okay? Anyway, back to my insight about city life. I love cities, the tastes, the smells; some people hate them, hate the lights, the crowds, the carcinogens hanging in the air. But oh, not me. Cities never sleep. Nightlife is always bustling, you just have to find it. Someone is always awake and having fun with a bunch of other awake, fun having people.

Crowds give me a rush, pushing through them is like stroking forbidden fruit. The perfect example of you can look, but you can’t touch. Standing still while a sea of humanity rolls in waves, ebbing and flowing like a pulse.
