From atop the highest reaches, through a swirling fog of mystery and time, in the days of old, a great fortress once stood atop the highest spires of the eastern mountains. Great assassins this place hosted until deception and betrayal breached the impenetrable walls, or so the fabled foretold. The dust of eons settled, the rumor of these great men and women faded, leaving nothing in its place but legend. The howling winds scorched memory, the story faded into a whispering whine of forgetfulness, leaving humanity with the sensation that there are some places best left unexplored.



Dare you linger too long on the winding path that leads upward? What calamities might befall you if your heart is not refined? You ponder as you take your next step. Is it true, has this place been reborn? Your sire whispered of its fame once long ago, a place where only the greatest of the Ãssamites reigned. You take the next step, trepidation fills your heart but you continue onward.

A sharp sting, a piercing pain flashes through your body. Darkness swirls around your fogged mind.

When you awake, you find twin piercing silvery eyes stare into yours, void of compassion or humanity. A delicate smile forms, no words slip from sensual lips but you know you heard them move. Lips that you would sell your soul for an eternal moment of hell in hopes to gain favor. In shame you look away, something brushes your mind, easement settles as the tension passes.
